About You

As a crucial member of the team using your critical thinking, problem solving to deliver quality work. 

Success in this role includes

  • Taking on the responsibility for sourcing, developing and managing content development, coordination, and execution at selected Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) events

  • Organizational support and involvement in additional department projects as needed

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the content lead for SCA events including sensory events, Re:co Symposium, and World of Coffee

  • Work with stakeholders to implement strategic content and development of new events

  • Stay current on coffee research and trends, identifying relevant content and speakers to incorporate in databases and SCA events

  • Interact with organizational tools to track and manage event content/speakers

  • Work cross functionality with staff on content development/management

  • Duties, responsibilities and activities may change or develop and are subject to amendment at any time based on association and departmental needs

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or equivalent experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management

  • Excellent verbal and written skills communication skills

  • Experience in sensory science, sustainability, economics

  • Flexibility with travel and work schedules

  • Self-managed schedule to meet deliverable deadlines

  • Experience with project management and team collaboration required

  • Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook)

  • Experience in the coffee, beverage or foodservice industries a plus
