Success in this role includes

Taking on the initiative and responsibility for managing various aspects of the departmental projects to deliver a great end user experience. As well as organizational support, and involvement in additional department projects as needed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create Request for Proposal (RFP)

  • Cultivate relationships with academic and professional research partners, while maintaining a network of research institutions

  • Review and evaluate research proposals

  • Facilitate selection and funding of research proposals, including timely and accurate communications with research institutions and funders

  • Manage contracts and agreements with research sponsors and institutions

  • Maintain the research project database

  • Responsible for the dissemination and communication of research outputs both internal and externally

  • Create reports and infographics from market research data

  • Duties, responsibilities and activities may change or develop and are subject to amendment at any time based on association and departmental needs.



  • 3-5 years of a track record of successful project management and team collaboration

  • Excellent business communication skills

  • MS in economics, sustainability, sensory science, or equivalent experience

  • Excellent business communication skills

  • Flexibility with travel and work schedules

  • Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook)

  • Proficiency with project management software

  • Experience in the coffee, beverage or foodservice industries a plus
