About You

The Program Marketing Manager is responsible for building awareness and appeal for SCA’s core activities. Key functions include building strategic campaigns, working with a diverse team of stakeholders to understand audiences, effective brand application and ongoing assessment to see if goals were met.  The role will focus on the areas of  membership including chapters and guilds, e-commerce, education, research, sustainability and advocacy.  Critical competencies include a familiarity with the coffee industry, a high level or organization, strong communication skills, and a solid design sensibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop all campaign elements including but not limited to direct mail campaigns, email marketing pieces, website updates, advertising, brand elements and sponsorship related deliverables.

  • Works closely with center heads and staff leads throughout the association to develop materials, conduct market research and develop strategies to improve sales and mindshare.

  • Gain a fluency around the needs and challenges of SCA’s chapter and guild communities, as well non-affiliated communities around the world.

  • Exhibit P&L mindset in strategic planning, while simultaneously maximizing value to member and meeting established revenue objectives through various marketing initiatives.

  • Analyze campaign success and recommend new strategies to improve upon future marketing planning to meet the Association’s needs. Up to date on new and developing marketing platforms and strategies

  • Develop budgets for program marketing activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance to ensure proper spend to meet established SCA revenue targets.

  • Provides positive leadership and productive influence in order to develop and execute global strategies

  • Effectively orchestrates work across internal teams and external partners to meet deadlines and sales targets

  • Work effectively with creative teams both internally and externally

Qualifications

  • Proven written and verbal communication skills

  • Organized, self-directed, self-motivated, detail and deadline oriented.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple marketing campaigns in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be a team player and work well in a collaborative environment.

  • 5+ years in a marketing capacity, managing various departmental campaigns.

  • 5+ years in the coffee industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing preferred or equivalent job experience.

  • Proficiency using MS Office suite and Adobe Creative Suite design software.
