Today, the Specialty Coffee Association is releasing updated rules & regulations for the 2024 Copenhagen World Coffee Championships; including the World Latte Art Championship (WLAC), World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship (WCIGS), World Coffee Roasting Championship (WCRC), and Cezve/Ibrik Championship (CIC). These four world championships take place at World of Coffee Copenhagen, Denmark, June 27-29.

Join the team putting on the World Coffee Championships in Chicago (April 2024) and Busan (May 2024) as a lead volunteer. The SCA is looking for people who would like to contribute more time and skills by holding lead roles for the event. These positions require a greater time commitment but are perfect for specialty coffee professionals who are open for leadership roles and would like to be more involved with the behind-the-scenes support of the event.

The Specialty Coffee Association is now accepting applications for the World Coffee Championships Competitions Strategic Committee (CSC). The CSC is a volunteer leadership group with wide-ranging experience of competitions and the industry that collaborates on initiatives to foster & support the competition community and keep the World Coffee Championships moving forward.

Today, the Specialty Coffee Association is announcing two updates for the 2024 World Coffee Championships season—the release of rules & regulations for the World Brewers Cup and World Cup Tasters Championship, and that the Cezve/Ibrik Championship will take place at World of Coffee Copenhagen in June.

The Specialty Coffee Association is pleased to announce that qualified testing of espresso machines for use in the World Latte Art Championship is now open. The criteria has been expanded to include fully-automatic espresso machine manufacturers who wish to bid for sponsorship in the 2024-2027 World Latte Art Championships.  

The SCA is excited to announce that the 2024 World Brewers Cup and World Cup Tasters Championship will take place at the Specialty Coffee Expo in Chicago, IL, USA, from April 12-14, 2024. We look forward to seeing competitors from around the world representing their Competition Bodies on stage next year—more information coming soon.

Judges with the required national judging experience can apply to upcoming WCC Judge Certification events in Athens, Milan, or Melbourne, for a chance to evaluate competitors at the pinnacle of the competitive coffee circuit.
