Deliver an Educational Workshop with SCA
DSC03629.jpg

We are actively seeking proposals from individuals from all backgrounds to lead virtual workshops in 2021.

We’re looking for single-session workshops to provide a deeper understanding of a topic. These are intended to supplement the formal SCA Educational programs and provide access to further education in a standalone, virtual format. Consider this our a la carte education menu.

Our workshops aim to provide a venue for a more in-depth understanding of different topics relevant to specialty coffee. Workshops can cover a variety of subject areas from the entire coffee value chain.

What makes workshops stand out is their ability to explore various educational topics in "hands-on" detail.

Your proposal should pitch a workshop title, objective, intended audience, and general session outline. Additional detail for each of these can be found in the speaker kit. If your workshop proposal is accepted, we will work with you to refine the workshop. You'll submit a more extended lesson plan, any worksheets or additional resources, and sign the speaker agreement.

Topics are open to anything relevant to specialty coffee. Still, they should fall into general topic areas: Barista (Espresso), Brewing, Roasting, Green Coffee, Sensory Analysis, Business, or Marketing.

You can find all the information about delivery a workshop in the Speaker Agreement and Speaker Kit.

Each instructor is paid an honorarium of $150 per workshop.
