SCA Certified Home Equipment
SCA Certified Home Brewers are coffee makers that meet SCA’s rigorous standards for brewing quality, consistency, and performance. Recognized among the top home coffee brewers available, these machines are tested to ensure they deliver reliable, high-quality results across a variety of conditions. The following models have successfully completed SCA third-party testing and satisfied the certification requirements for home brewing equipment.

SCA Certified Equipment Program
Developed by coffee science experts and professional tasters, this program evaluates equipment designed for in-home use to determine whether it meets the SCA's established standards for coffee quality. These standards are grounded in decades of industry research led by the SCA and the Coffee Brewing Center.
Only equipment that is fully evaluated at our third-party testing centre (ECBC.no) is considered for certification.
The certified equipment process
An active SCA Company Membership is required to begin. If you are not yet a member, you will need to join before submitting equipment. Learn more about SCA Membership.
Before starting, log in to the Membership Portal and review the current Equipment Standards on the Resources page.
Submit prototype or production models
You can submit a prototype to receive technical feedback during development, or a production model for certification.
Receive a detailed test report
All equipment is tested against SCA brewing and performance standards. Every submission receives a detailed test report within approximately two weeks, regardless of the outcome.
Achieve certification and recognition
Equipment that passes and enter into a certification agreement are recognized as SCA Certified Equipment and listed on the SCA website.
Use certification and branding
Certification includes a three-year licensing period and allows use of the SCA Certified mark on approved packaging and marketing materials.
Review Certification fee
USD $5,000 annual licensing fee (3-year term)
