Chris McAuley & Cydni Patterson | Socially Distant Sip & Chat w/ Getchusomegear | Re:co Symposium 2020 2020

Getchu Some Gear started up in June 2019 to meet coffee gear needs for a few of Chris McAuley’s former staff members.

A year later, the project has redistributed over $8,000 in coffee gear, resources, and educational materials to baristas that hold marginalized identities. Chris McAuley ( Getchusomegear founder) and Cydni Patterson (Getchusomegear educator, Glitter Cat Barista, Caravela Coffee) will be brewing their favorite coffees together on the front porch in Durham and chatting about shared experiences as young Black folks in the coffee industry... working and living in the South.
