Here are a few different ways you can get involved with SCA Coffee Value Assessment Events.
SCA Trade Shows
SCA trade shows include World of Coffee (Europe, Asia, Middle East) and Specialty Coffee Expo (North America). These shows are major industry events featuring hundreds of exhibitors, competitions, awards, social and networking opportunities. SCA trade shows regularly feature dozens of educational opportunities including lectures and workshops where attendees can learn and practice new skills and theory.
CVA for Cuppers Courses
SCA Coffee Value Assessment for Cuppers Courses are interactive sessions designed to introduce an experienced coffee cupper to the evolved cupping protocol and this new system for assessing a coffee's value. Driven by the SCA's sustainability agenda, which emphasizes equitable value distribution throughout the supply chain, the system aspires to be a powerful tool to help measure and facilitate value assessment and distribution. It simultaneously integrates advances in sensory and coffee science, making it compatible with scientific research for the first time.
SCA Community Events
SCA Community Events are small, focused educational events for specific communities within the specialty coffee industry with a tailored curriculum to promote personal and professional advancement. As the Coffee Value Assessment expands, more community events will teach elements of the CVA.
