World of Coffee Heads to Bangkok in 2026, the Third Edition of World of Coffee Asia
Yesterday, during World of Coffee Jakarta, the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), Exporum Inc., and Barista Association of Thailand (BAT) formally announced that Bangkok, Thailand will host World of Coffee Asia in 2026. The signing ceremony featured SCA CEO Yannis Apostolopoulos, Exporum Inc. CEO Danny Shin, and BAT Chairman Meechai Amornpathanakul and marks the third edition of World of Coffee Asia, following successful launches in Busan and Jakarta in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
World of Coffee Bangkok will take place May 7-9, 2026, at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre: BITEC, a premier venue in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic and culturally rich capitals. Produced by licensed partner Exporum and hosted with support from the Barista Association of Thailand, the event will continue SCA’s commitment to growing global opportunities for specialty coffee professionals through events, education, and market access.
“Thailand’s specialty coffee community has grown in remarkable ways over the past decade, and we’re honored to bring World of Coffee to Bangkok in 2026,” said Yannis Apostolopoulos, CEO of the Specialty Coffee Association. “This event is part of our continued effort to make coffee better by supporting trade amongst all stakeholders along the value chain in meaningful, inclusive, and sustainable ways. With Thailand’s deep-rooted coffee culture and Bangkok’s global accessibility, we look forward to delivering a World of Coffee experience that celebrates the region’s heritage and future.”
Thailand’s specialty coffee sector has flourished in recent years, emerging as both a quality-driven producing origin and a vibrant consumer market. From the highlands of Chiang Mai to bustling cafés in Bangkok, the country’s coffee culture reflects innovation, craftsmanship, and a strong sense of community.
“With each World of Coffee in Asia, we see new energy, new perspectives, and new opportunities,” said Danny Shin, CEO of Exporum Inc. “Bangkok represents the perfect next step in that journey—an energetic, international city with a strong specialty coffee scene and a growing influence in global coffee conversations. We’re excited to partner with the Barista Association of Thailand and SCA to bring this vision to life.”
World of Coffee Bangkok 2026 will be open to exhibitors, sponsors, and attendees from across the specialty coffee value chain. More details on exhibiting, speaking, and program participation will be shared in the coming months.
