Meet the 2021 SCA South Korea Chapter Committee

SCA members in South Korea cast their ballots in the 2021 elections to select their new leadership.

Today, we are pleased to welcome the SCA South Korea Chapter’s new committee members. The six coffee professionals elected by this year’s election to join the Chapter Committee in the 2021-2023 term are:

SCA Chapter volunteers embody the values of specialty coffee by working to strengthen their regional community by organizing community-driven events and supporting activities for their community stakeholders.

The SCA South Korea Chapter is supported by dedicated SCA staff and thirteen elected volunteer leaders in Community, Education, and Competition Committees. The Committee coordinators, staff and volunteers work together to organize the Korea Coffee Championships and other educational and community events that bring the Korea coffee community together. This year, voting for the SCA South Korea Chapter took place for two Community Coordinators, two Education Coordinators, and two Competition Coordinator positions with more than 4 nominees per committee.

Special thanks to all fourteen nominees who put their name forward in this election and thanks to SCA members for their commitment to the SCA South Korea Chapter. We urge the community to please continue to support the committee in their upcoming two-year term.

The six newly-elected coffee professionals will join the Chapter Committee on August 1, 2021 at which point six out of thirteen existing members of the group will complete their term. We wish the new committee every success with the continued development of the local coffee community.
