SCA Ukraine Chapter: Election Results

Thank you for nominating in the SCA Ukraine Chapter election!

Following the nomination period, there were three open coordinator roles for the SCA Ukraine Chapter. As there were no other contenders for the three committee positions there was no need to proceed with the usual election process.

Your new SCA Ukraine Chapter Committee is formed by:

  • National Coordinator (Chair) - Dimitri Slukin

  • Community Coordinator - Valeriya

  • Education Coordinator - Andrii Pustovit

Dimitri Slukin

National Coordinator

“Eight years in the coffee. Managing partner and green coffee buyer for FEST Coffee Mission company. This year sourced and imported direct trade only, of more than 60 containers of exclusively specialty coffee to Ukraine. Has built equitable and socially responsible relationships with over 100 farmers from Central and South America. The organizer of the last coffee festival in Ukraine where the national SCA championships were held. Certified the only laboratory in Ukraine according to CQI standards, where over the past 3 months 20 new Ukrainian Q Graders received a certificate.”

Dimitri was the only member to accept a nomination for the National Coordinator position.

Valeriya

Community Coordinator

“Hey! My name is Lera and I have been a crazy coffee lover for 10 years. I have been successfully managing coffee projects for over six years, teaching beginner baristas, and being a judge of national championships. For me to be a part of the SCA and guide all baristas and share experiences as a whole life! In my two years as a Membership Coordinator, I realized that there is still a lot that can be done to increase the level of engagement and popularize the coffee community. The SCA has become a whole world for me, I believe in the prosperity of the coffee industry in our country.”

Valeriya was the only member to accept a nomination for the Community Coordinator position.

Andrii Pustovit

Education Coordinator

“16 years of love for coffee and professional activity. Co-founder and head of educational projects:

- School «CUSTOM COFFEE». School with a team of trainers, who are national coffee champions in different categories. Training on our own programs and the international Coffee Skills Program.

- Barista Games is an educational project, its mission is to educate by organizing competitions for baristas, which are on equal terms.

- Publisher of the book LatteArtist, the first book in Ukraine about latte art, written by the four-time champion of Ukraine in latte art Alexander Benitsky.

- Judge of the national championships (Barista, Brewers Cup, Latte Art)”

Andrii was the only member to accept a nomination for the National Coordinator position.
