Survey: Help Shape the SCA Sustainable Coffee Agenda by Sharing Your Thoughts on Value Creation, Measurement, and Distribution

The SCA Knowledge Development team as part of the SCA Sustainable Coffee Agenda is implementing a survey aimed at actors across the coffee supply chain to assess and track the impact around how value is created, measured, and distributed in coffee value chains, toward a broader goal of equitable value distribution (EVD).

The survey structure is inspired in sense making theory, which is the process by which people give meaning to their collective experience. The set of less than 10 questions in this survey is simple, and is structured in three sections (value distribution, coffee system activities & original position, and benchmarking) with one additional section for demographics and knowledge on equitable value distribution.

The results of this survey will be analyzed to generate a report that will leverage other data, information sources, and coffee industry reports to complement survey responses. This report will enable the specialty coffee industry to track our progress toward the goal of equitable value distribution.
