Market actors everywhere tried to anticipate what the extent of the damage would be and how much of a supply shortage to anticipate in the coming months, and even a month later, the picture is still unclear. Anike Eljers Wolthers of Red Container Coffee will present an overview of these recent events and explain how the frost compounds the effects of a shortage in shipping containers and COVID-related slowdowns to create challenges that affect everyone involved in the green coffee business.
About the Presenter
Anike Ejlers Wolthers is the founder of Red Container Coffee, she is also granddaughter, daughter, sister, cousin, niece and friend of the coffee industry.
Anike is 3rd generation on green trade/sourcing, from a traditional Scandinavian coffee family based in Santos; the Wolthers family.
Anike is free spirited, artistic, fair, curious, hard working, single mother of 2 great kids, attributes that blends to Red Container Coffee, company she launched apart of the family business back in January 2018, her adventures mind guided her to get lost in the coffee fields in order to find her path in the industry and market position.
Red’s mission is to continue the family legacy as a third generation coffee hunter, find and get involved with new coffees/lands, learn from different origins, give back to origin, educate final consumers in the reality outside the box and connect buyers to their ideal coffee with transparency, sustainability and research.
