Announcing the Newest Cycle of Bloom
Bloom is going virtual, global, and free-to-attend with a suggested charity donation.

The Barista Guild is excited to bring you the newest cycle of Bloom, a unique event that gathers together different coffee communities to have conversations on shared topics of importance, featuring talks and panels with local experts, leaders, and thinkers. This cycle of Bloom is going global, featuring event days in Germany, the USA, Mexico, and the UK, with speakers and panel discussions, all provided at no cost—just a suggested donation for admission.
Each Bloom location will have a virtual event day featuring three talks or panel discussions, with an interactive discussion between speakers and attendees following each talk, creating the opportunity for meaningful dialogue. For this edition of Bloom, the Barista Guild has identified the following key topics: living wage and income across the value chain; equity and diversity in coffee; and the impacts of COVID-19.
The first Bloom event will be hosted by the SCA Germany Chapter, October 2 at 5:00PM CEST. On October 8, the SCA US Chapter will host an event at 1PM PST, and on October 18, the Asociación Mexicana de Café y Cafeterías de Especialidad, A.C. (AMCCE) will host a Bloom at 10:00AM CST. The final Bloom of this cycle will be hosted by the SCA UK chapter at 2:00PM BST on October 27.

Die Barista Guild freut sich euch die neueste Eventreihe von Bloom vorstellen zu können, eine einzigartige Veranstaltung, bei der verschiedene Kaffee Communities zusammenkommen, um Gespräche über gemeinsame wichtige Themen zu führen und Panels mit lokalen Experten, Führungskräften und Vordenkern zu führen. Bloom 2020 wird global und umfasst Veranstaltungstage in den USA, Mexiko, Großbritannien und Deutschland, die alle kostenlos sind, mit einer Bitte um eine Spende an einen gemeinnützigen Zweck. Wir freuen uns, dieses erweiterte Format in weitere Communities bringen zu können.
Jeder Bloom-Standort bietet einen virtuellen Veranstaltungstag mit drei Vorträgen oder Podiumsdiskussionen. Nach jedem Vortrag findet eine interaktive Diskussion zwischen Redner*innen und Teilnehmenden statt, die die Gelegenheit für einen interessante Dialog bietet. Für diese Ausgabe von Bloom hat die Barista Guild die folgenden Schlüsselthemen identifiziert: (1) Existenzsichernder Lohn und Einkommen über die Wertschöpfungskette hinweg und (2) Gerechtigkeit, Vielfalt und Inklusion im Kaffee und eine “Podiumsdiskussion” zum Thema “Eröffnung und Leitung eines Cafes in Deutschland als nicht-deutscher Staatsbürger”.
Die erste Bloom-Veranstaltung wird am 2. Oktober um 17:00 Uhr MESZ vom SCA Germany Chapter ausgerichtet (auf Deutsch). Am 8. Oktober wird das SCA US Chapter um 13.00 Uhr PST eine Veranstaltung veranstalten (in English), und am 18. Oktober wird die Asociación Mexicana de Café und Cafeterías de Especialidad (AMCCE) um 10:00 Uhr CST Bloom veranstalten (en Español). Das letzte Bloom Event wird vom SCA UK Chapter um 14:00 Uhr MEZ veranstalte (in English).

El Gremio de Baristas (@baristaguild)se complace en anunciar su nueva edición de Bloom, un evento único donde se reunirán expertos de diferentes disciplinas en el ámbito del café, para compartir y discutir temas de relevancia local, nacional e internacional en diferentes paneles guiados por líderes y emprendedores. Esta edición de Bloom será global y se presentarán eventos en Estados Unidos, México, Reino Unido y Alemania. Nos llena de emoción poder expandir nuestros horizontes gracias a esta nueva modalidad en línea. Cada país de Bloom tendrá eventos virtuales presentando tres pláticas o paneles de discusión interactivos entre los ponentes y asistentes, creando un canal de comunicación lleno de aprendizaje.
Para esta edición de Bloom, el @BaristaGuild ha propuesto los siguientes temas: Salario digno e ingresos de la cadena productiva, Igualdad y diversidad en la industria del café y Los impactos del COVID-19.
