Today during the first round of the 2025 World Barista Championship at HostMilano, Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) CEO Yannis Apostolopoulos and Colombian Coffee Growers Federation/Federación Nacional de Cafeteros de Colombia (FNC) CEO Germán Alberto Bahamón Jaramillo took to the competition stage to jointly confirm and announce World of Coffee Bogotá 2027 featuring the 2027 World Brewers Cup, set to take place over three days from September 30 – October 2, 2027 in Bogotá, Colombia.

Tickets for the US edition of Sensory Summit, the only event in coffee dedicated to sensory science and research for sensory professionals, are now available. After hosting Sensory Summit digitally, the Specialty Coffee Association is delighted to bring Sensory Summit back as an in-person event hosted at UC Davis, CA, USA, from February 4-6, 2022.

Today we are announcing the cancellation of the 2021 World of Coffee (WOC) trade show, scheduled to take place in Athens this June, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. We are continuing to pursue an alternative solution for the 2021 World Coffee Championships (WCC), which were to take place at the WOC trade show, and we will have more information on that subject in the coming weeks.

We are in conversations with our partners, assessing the viability of moving forward with hosting the 2021 WOC and WCC events in Athens this June. Our community and staff's health and safety remain our top priority. We are committed to communicating a firm decision to you regarding these important events by Friday, February 26.

Now in its 32nd year, the Specialty Coffee Expo is the largest gathering of specialty coffee professionals in North America, attracting over 14,000 visitors and featuring dozens of lectures, workshops, courses, and coffee competitions.
