We're Hiring: Marketing Director

The Marketing Director position is responsible for leading the Marketing department in building awareness and appeal for SCA’s commercial activities, through positive and results-oriented leadership. Key functions include leading the strategic development of SCA’s marketing campaigns, brands and design approach, marketing systems and tools, assessment of audiences. The Marketing Director works closely with other center heads and the SCA leadership to ensure the activities of the Marketing department contributes and supports the SCA’s long-term and short-term goals.

The Marketing Director manages the Marketing department and its team members and must be an effective leader that inspires and guides staff to achieve goals and contribute to the growth of the organization. The Marketing Director should also motivate and inspire the team by creating an environment that promotes positive communication and collaboration, encourages bonding of team members, and demonstrates flexibility.

An in depth understanding of both strategic and tactical marketing is also essential for this position, as well as a strong sense of aesthetic and best marketing practices for various audiences.

Key Responsibilities

· Leading the Marketing department in an effective and positive manner, ensuring team members are suitably skilled and resourced to deliver the best possible results.

· Managing international marketing/communications/media/PR agencies in multiple geographies.

· Works closely with center heads and SCA leadership to make sure financial goals of the Association are met.

· Leading the Marketing team in developing strategic marketing plans for all SCA’s commercial activities, including but not limited to social media campaigns, email marketing pieces, website creation and updates, advertising, brand management, copywriting, and sponsorship related deliverables for programming and events.

· Oversee sponsorship packages for current activities as well as identify and provide vision and structure for new sponsorship opportunities.

· Analyze marketing results and lead the marketing team in constantly improving and adapting activities according to goals.

· Managing both human and financial resources within the department and making sure the day-to-day operations runs smoothly. Proposing departmental changes when needed.

· Promote and assist in carrying out the Association’s mission, vision and strategic plan in a manner consistent with the Association’s stated values.

· Exhibit P&L mindset in strategic planning, developing and managing specific budgets and advise other budget leads on marketing costs and forecasting.

· Implement systems for effective work within the department, as well as for cross-departmental work.

· Lead in identifying suitable contractors and agencies for design and analytics work, as well as negotiating contracts and scope of work.

· Work effectively with creative teams, both internally and externally, to ensure SCA’s portfolio of brands are consistently applied and maintained. Lead in brand development for new programs.

· Provide vision for new product development.

Essential Experience

Strategic marketing experience is critical for this role, as well as strong leadership skills. Experience within the coffee industry is highly preferable. Must exhibit high levels of organization and communication skills and have a strong sense of aesthetic.

Requirements

· Proven written and verbal communication skills.

· Organized, self-directed, self-motivated, creative, results oriented, encouraging.

· Leadership skills that include a positive and motivational mindset, while being results-oriented and strategic.

· 6+ years in a marketing management capacity.

· Experience in running marketing campaigns in international or multi-national geographies.

· Some design skills and a strong sense of aesthetic.

· High level of familiarity with strategic marketing as well as marketing related software.

· Masters' degree preferred or equivalent job experience.

· Some travel involved for events, meetings, and conferences.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £48,500.00-£60,000.00 per year
