Meet the Committee

Rose van Asten

National Coordinator

While working at a coffee bar I have competed in different championships for seven years. Now I share my coffee knowledge with any eager learner as a trainer and consultant. I love people and I love coffee!

Rose was the only member to accept a nomination for the National Coordinator position.

Ron de Wit

Events Coordinator

Ron was the only member to accept a nomination for the Events Coordinator position.

Tilly van Arendonk

Marketing & Communications Coordinator

I started my coffee journey when I was 20 years old by following an SCA Barista Skills foundation course and from that moment I fell in love with the product. I will never stop learning or teaching about coffee. People call me a coffee nerd and I strongly agree with that. For the last two years I did all the social media for the Netherlands Chapter and would like to continue this.

Merijn Gijsbers

Judges Coordinator

Merijn is a former barista champion and works as a coffee consultant / barista trainer and owns a coffee brand and a coffee event company.

“If I get elected, my goal for the next period would be to invest in educating a solid group of National judges. Secondly I would like to establish a better relationship with national chapters abroad to exchange judges for national competitions. This would elevate the quality of our national championships by bringing in international judges and creates the opportunity for our national judges to gain international experience”

Merijn was the only member to accept a nomination for the Judges Coordinator position.
