Voting in the 2021 SCA Poland Chapter Elections Is Officially Open

The nomination stage is closed and the candidates listed below have accepted their nominations. Vote for the new National Coordinator for the SCA Poland Chapter committee now!

Nominations have been collected for the new committee for the SCA Poland Chapter. The community has nominated two candidates for the role of National Coordinator and voting has officially opened. Cast your vote from June 16-23; the results of the election will be announced on June 30. If you are an active SCA member based in Poland, you will receive an email with a link to place your vote. If you believe you are eligible to vote but have not received an email, get in touch at via the website.

We are pleased to announce that the four other coordinator roles are uncontested, and there is no need to cast a vote for these roles. If you have any concerns or comments regarding these uncontested positions please get in touch with us before June 23 via sca.coffee/chapters. As a reminder, you can learn more about the roles and responsibilities of each position on our website.

SCA Chapter volunteers embody the values of specialty coffee by working to deliver education, events, and research to their regional communities. The Chapter personifies the vision and mission of the SCA in all activities. SCA Chapter elections enable SCA members to vote and select the volunteer committee who will be leading their local chapter's activities for the next two years. Learn more about SCA Chapters here.


Meet the Nominees in the 2020 SCA Poland Chapter Elections

Katarzyna Zyzało-Moczydłowska

National Coordinator

Katarzyna has been involved in the coffee business since 2008, working professionally as an independent consultant in the field of sensory, barista training and coffee marketing. She is the Polish Barista Champion of 2012 & 2014 and became a judge in 2015. Since then Katarzyna has been traveling all over the world to judge coffee competitions. She is a WCE Certified Judge and currently certified in all the categories. Always supportive to the Polish SCA Chapter as a judge and also certified as a Q Arabica Grader.

Damian Czyżewski

National Coordinator

Current National Coordinator and active in the Chapter’s management since 2016, Damian is a technical judge and barista trainer.

Damian says, “I would like to thank all of the team, sponsors and competitors responsible for the Chapter’s success over the last few years. It was a challenging but also a fantastic time to serve the community and see everyone grow. I think my time has elapsed and there is a much more suitable candidate on board for this role, but future committee members will have my full support and counsel whenever needed.”

Krzysztof Blinkiewicz

Education Coordinator

Krzysztof is a coffee consultant and the Co-Founder of Autumn Coffee Roasters. He is an Authorized Specialty Coffee Association Trainer in the modules: Sensory Skills, Green Coffee, Brewing, and Introduction to Coffee. Krzysztof acted as Sensory and technical judge in Poland’s national WCE Championships, and is a Q Arabica Grader in Coffee Quality, a member of the Coffee Roasters Guild and the Research & Education Committee. He is currently acting as Shadow Education Coordinator in the SCA Polish Chapter.

Krzysztof is the only member to accept a nomination for the Education Coordinator position.

Aleksander Krzych

Events Coordinator

Aleksander started working in gastronomy 18 years ago, thanks to persistence and a willingness to learn. Aleksander received the first SCA green coffee training in 2016, and in 2018 took 1st place at the "Coffee Festival" in Latte Art. In 2020, Aleksander became an authorized Specialty Coffee Association trainer, as well as the official trainer of the Procaffe group. Aleksander is very happy to be able to take an active part in events at the SCA.

Brewing: intermediate level

Aleksander is the only member to accept a nomination for the Events Coordinator position.

Magdalena Chylińska

Community Coordinator

Magdalena is the CEO of Autumn Coffee Roasters, a Sensory judge, and Scorekeeper in the Polish national WCE Championships.

Marcin Rzońca

Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Marcin is a coffee blogger and photographer, and has been observing and reporting on the Polish coffee scene for many years. Marcin has also participated in the Polish Coffee Championships by offering media, social media, streaming, and photography support. Marcin has been acting as the shadow Marketing Coordinator of SCA Poland.

Marcin is the only member to accept a nomination for the Marketing & Communications Coordinator position.
