Announcing World of Coffee 2024 in Copenhagen, Denmark!

World of Coffee Copenhagen will take place at Bella Center Copenhagen, June 27 to 29, 2024, and will feature the 2024 World Latte Art, World Coffee in Good Spirits and World Coffee Roasting Championships. This World of Coffee will run in addition to the SCA's annual World of Coffee trade shows in Dubai January 21 to 23, 2024 and the inaugural World of Coffee Busan, scheduled for May 1 to 4, 2024. This is the first time that the SCA has held three global World of Coffee trade shows in the same year.

Beta Version of the Coffee Value Assessment Protocol and Forms Unveiled at Re:co Symposium

Earlier today, SCA CEO Yannis Apostolopoulos formally introduced the beta version of the SCA Coffee Value Assessment on the Re:co Symposium stage, a thought leadership event that takes place prior to the Specialty Coffee Expo in Portland, Oregon. Yannis also unveiled an Early Adopter program designed to help the SCA refine the system’s protocol and forms through community feedback before it moves through the SCA’s standards development procedures.

Support People Affected by the Earthquakes in Turkey

On Monday, February 6, 2023, the southeast region of Turkey was hit by two powerful earthquakes that devastated the area, affecting not only Turkey but also neighboring countries such as Syria and Lebanon. The earthquakes caused widespread destruction, with thousands of buildings being destroyed, countless lives lost, tens of thousands of people injured, and access to basic necessities being cut off. The harsh winter weather is exacerbating the situation, making rescue efforts more difficult and putting even more people at risk.
